Deb Reed received a call from Steve Stefanides a few days ago. He represents the Marco Island Parade Committee and he asked her to please be at the award ceremony this evening. There were four of us there representing our organization. He would not tell us why--only that it was a surprise.
It is with pride and so much happiness that I let you know we were awarded "The Chairman's Best of Spirit" award, not usually given. He said so many nice things about the ladies who make our Marco Island Newcomers so special and admired.
Great job Deb and Bonnie, and to everyone who helped to make this years parade possible. Thank you all so much.
We sure do have "spirit".
