NEWCOMERS ENJOY RESUMING LUNCHEON ACTIVITIES

Newcomers of Marco Island resumed their monthly luncheons in March and DaVinci Ristorante Italiano hosted this first luncheon. They were so accommodating and the staff was so pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed a great afternoon which included some catching up with friends and a delicious meal.
Our presenters for the luncheon were Ari and Avital Kathein. Ari and Avital are second generation jewelers, whose family owns and operates Kathein Jewelers. They shared some interesting information on types and value of various diamonds. As diamonds are a girl’s best friend, they had our undivided attention!
We ended the luncheon with a 50-50 and gift raffle. Members won some great gifts from our wonderful sponsors. Thanks to all of our sponsors for their continued support.
Our Hospitality group organized our March Lunch Bunch event at the Smith House. We had a nice group of members in attendance and enjoyed a light lunch as we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine.
MINI GROUP NEWS! The Book Ends club have been meeting via zoom, but hope to be meeting again in person soon. This is a wonderful group for avid readers or those that want to read a different variety of titles. Each member takes their turn submitting a book to the group that they have read and enjoyed. That member than develops some discussion questions for the book and lead the discuss for that month. Karen Caster is the chairperson for this group and stated that the discussions “Often make you view the book in new ways”.
